I am afraid this observation is very true, when one just thinks of the Vatican who refuses to reveal all secret artefacts & documents in its vast underground vaults. This article will explain why.
The Antikythera mechanism is an ancient hand powered Greek analogue computer which has also been described as the first example of such a device used to predict astronomical positions and eclipses for calendar and astrological purposes decades in advance. It could also be used to track the four-year cycle of athletic games which was similar to an Olympiad, the cycle of the ancient Olympic Games.
This artefact was retrieved from the sea in 1901, and identified on 17 May 1902 as containing a gear by archaeologist Valerios Stais, among wreckage retrieved from a shipwreck off the coast of the Greek island Antikythera. The instrument is believed to have been designed and constructed by Greek scientists and has been variously dated to about 87 BC, or between 150 and 100 BC, or to 205 BC, or to within a generation before the shipwreck, which has been dated to approximately 70–60 BC.
The device, housed in the remains of a 34 cm × 18 cm × 9 cm (13.4 in × 7.1 in × 3.5 in) wooden box, was found as one lump, later separated into three main fragments which are now divided into 82 separate fragments after conservation efforts. Four of these fragments contain gears, while inscriptions are found on many others. The largest gear is approximately 14 centimeters (5.5 in) in diameter and originally had 223 teeth.
It is a complex clockwork mechanism composed of at least 30 meshing bronze gears. A team led by Mike Edmunds and Tony Freeth at Cardiff University used modern computer x-ray tomography and high resolution surface scanning to image inside fragments of the crust-encased mechanism and read the faintest inscriptions that once covered the outer casing of the machine.
Detailed imaging of the mechanism suggests that it had 37 gear wheels enabling it to follow the movements of the Moon and the Sun through the zodiac, to predict eclipses and even to model the irregular orbit of the Moon, where the Moon’s velocity is higher in its perigee than in its apogee. This motion was studied in the 2nd century BC by astronomer Hipparchus of Rhodes, and it is speculated that he may have been consulted in the machine’s construction.
The knowledge of this technology was lost at some point in antiquity. Similar technological works later appeared in the medieval Byzantine and Islamic worlds, but works with similar complexity did not appear again until the development of mechanical astronomical clocks in Europe in the fourteenth century. All known fragments of the Antikythera mechanism are now kept at the National Archaeological Museum in Athens, along with a number of artistic reconstructions and replicas of the mechanism to demonstrate how it may have looked and worked. This long difficult research into this lump of gears gradually exposed a super smart 2100 year old man-made analog computer. This discovery turned out to be a giant embarrassment for historical academia, as it was too late to be erased from memory due to the publicity already given to it.
It could not be as quickly suppressed as another embarrassing discovery of a Canaanite ship wreck far from the Mediterranean coast that disproved the accepted – though bogus – Darwinian theory that ship-masters of antiquity always hugged the coast for fear of the open seas. Because it would drive another formidable nail in the casket of Darwinist theory that cross-oceanic travel was not undertaken – because “Man was still not fully evolved and smart enough yet” – until 1492 when Columbus sailed the ocean blue. They kind of let the Viking settlements at L’anse aux Meadows, North America slip through reluctantly because that could be explained away as ship-wrecked storm-driven Viking sailors who just happened to land in New Foundland, but by politburo directives, nothing earlier is ever ALLOWED!
It doesn’t matter to them that the early Megalith builders left their enigmatic mysterious giant constructions all over the globe, on virtually every continent; South America, Siberia, Mediterranean, Egypt, Japan, Australia & New Zealand, Indonesia, and other places, they just refuse to tackle the subject and/or reduce these smart ocean crossing Megalith builders as “unsolved mysteries.”
During the nineties of the last century a new brand of ‘marine archaeologists‘ were super inspired to find early Bronze Age pillars, sunken temples, artifacts, & even entire ruins of towns below the seas, but all that enthusiasm died out rather quickly, when their directors got the note on their desk to cool it on the submarine archaeology. 
Why? Because it would support the non-desired fact that a single Ice Age was as recent as 2800 BC until around 1500 BC, when global ocean levels demonstrably rose 125 M. (300 ft.) due to increased melting of the Northern Ice Age ice caps on land! That wouldn’t jive with the official faux Darwinian narrative of several Ice Ages of 10-, 20-, 50-, or even 80.000 years ago that support their preferred lo-o-ong ago so-called Pre-History when their “cavemen” slowly turned into “hunter gatherers” and “pre-historic Denisovans” & “Neanderthalers.” That is also the reason why they fully suppress & ignore Atlantis that disappeared below the waves, conveniently labeled as “mythical”, Canaanite inscriptions and Sumerian artefacts and Early Megaliths build all over the world, oceans apart!
Below is illustrated how global coastlines were changed and lands were flooded around 1500 BC when the unique Ice Age came to its end and ice caps melted and sea levels rose due to sea cooling that caused TRUE climate change and desertification of Middle Earth.
That recent 1500 BC sea level rise was proven by the artifacts found underwater which were Bronze Age, and therefore it must have taken place during the recent Bronze Age which took place around 1500 BC, before the 1200 BC Bronze Age Collapse.
Why was that so deadly for Darwinist theory? Because the only possible mechanism for such a sudden melting of the Ice Caps and ending the recent Ice Age would be some kind of Climate Change. It was in fact caused by the cooling of the oceans to present temperatures which slowed down the formerly heavy evaporation and subsequent Ice Age rains caused by the heat of the 3000 BC Flood! The volcanic heating of the oceans by the sudden explosion of the ‘Fountains of the Earth‘ spitting out pressurised Super-Critical Water – see S.C.W. text below – that had cracked the Earth’s crust resulting in our present day fault lines, flooded the entire earth with its sub-crustal water, caused great evaporation and increased Ice Age rains & SNOW which caused the Northern ice caps on land. This hydrological mechanism is the unique explanation for any Ice Age. There exist no others.
Such strong support for Noah’s global Flood is just not politically correct in naturalist, materialist, atheist, Marxist academia, for reasons you can just imagine your self. And therefore this smart 100-200 BC Antikythera Mechanism is such an eye opener of those who want or dare to see.
Man was always smart, and in fact Ancient Man was way smarter than our pitiful end of gene-pool devolved humanity of today. The engineers who made that mechanism were just as smart as the Western clock makers of the last 300 years, but because there was less accumulated technological means around 2100 years ago, the feat was much more impressive. It was a veritable computer with prognosticating powers to predict the movements of planets and stars. VERY impressive!
Therefore this entire narrative that we should have descended from stupid Stone Age Man is totally ridiculous in light of this true archaeological find and of course all the megaliths found all over the world ACROSS OCEANS which is heavily combated and suppressed by Modern Materialist Atheist Secular Humanist Historical elite. They just don’t allow you to believe anything else but this ridiculous fairy-tale of “Macro Evolution” of species somehow changing into other species by non-existent beneficial mutations.
